Country music duo Brothers Osborne, with special guest Trey Pendley, will perform at After Hours Concerts at The Innsbrook Pavilion on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. Consisting of brothers TJ and John, Brothers Osborne began releasing music in 2013 following a recording contract with EMI Records Nashville the year prior. In 2015, their song "Stay a Little Longer" became a top five hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, and their debut studio album Pawn Shop was released. Since then, they've recorded three more studio albums, and they have won multiple awards including a Grammy, six ACM awards, five CMA awards, and the ASCAP Vanguard Award. The Henry Harris Big Band will bring an electrifying night of jazz to the Henrico Theatre on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. The program will include timeless classics such as Equinox by John Coltrane, Spain by Chick Corea, What Is Hip? by Tower of Power, September by Earth, Wind & Fire, I Heard It Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye, and more, as well as a few songs inspired by today's top hits. Shakes'n Not Stirred will present Oedipus Rex at Blue Bee Cider, 4811 Bethlehem Road, on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Shakes'n Not Stirred brings together a talented cast of local actors and improvisers to tackle the classics while also tackling drinks. The Richmond Showmasters Gun Show will be held Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 East Laburnum Avenue. A variety of knowledgeable exhibitors at 800 tables will be selling rifles, shotguns, handguns, ARs, AKs, antique firearms, knives, ammo, militaria, accessories, holsters, self-defense items, survival gear, body armor, stun guns, tasers, swords, and more. Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road, will be the site of a Water Lantern Festival on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All tickets include a lantern kit, LED candle and markers. During the festival, attendees can enjoy live music, activities and food while personalizing their own lanterns. At sunset, everyone will launch their lanterns together across the water.
