Sadler Road project reaches new construction stage

Henrico County's project to realign and improve Sadler Road is expected to be completed in summer 2027, according to a county update.

Construction has been completed on roundabouts at Innslake Drive and Sadler Grove Road. Part of a shared-use path has opened, and a widened section of Sadler Road also has opened between Old Sadler Road and Willow Gate Drive.

Sadler Road remains closed between Willow Gate Drive and the entrance to the Sadler Crest subdivision. The existing detour using Cox Road is expected to remain in place until the project is complete.

The county said the pavement visible in open portions of the corridor is not the final driving surface. A final surface layer is planned near the end of construction.
