Obituary - Maurice Beasley Duling

Maurice Beasley Duling, 88, of Richmond, passed away May 13, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Seifert Duling; and two daughters, Sara Duling Boggs (Marcus) and Diane Duling Johnston (Thomas). Maurice and Jean were high school sweethearts, attending the old John Marshall where they were Captain and Sponsor of the Cadet Band. Maurice went on to graduate from the University of Richmond in 1958. That same year, he began his career at Reynolds Metals Company where he spent the next 35 years. He was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Maurice was a 50-year Master Mason, having been raised in the Lodge of Strict Observance No. 207 A.F. & A.M. and later transferring to Manchester Lodge No. 14 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of ACCA Temple Shrine and the Manchester Shrine Club. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Road, with the family receiving friends at 10 a.m. A reception will follow the service at the church.
