Former basketball coach Bruce Pearl to speak at Jewish Community Federation event in Henrico

Former Auburn University men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl will be the featured guest at the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond’s 30th annual Grand Event Oct. 22 at the Hilton Richmond Hotel in Short Pump, 12042 West Broad Street.

Pearl led Auburn to two NCAA Tournament Final Four appearances and earned National Coach of the Year recognition in 2025. He also coached the Maccabi USA men’s basketball team to a gold medal at the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel and co-founded the Jewish Coaches Association, which connects and supports Jewish coaches. In 2025, Pearl joined Turner Sports and CBS Sports as a college basketball game and studio analyst.

The Federation’s Live Secure initiative, in conjunction with local law enforcement, will provide security for the event. Tickets are $54 per person.
