Organization collecting donated items for Darby House fire victims
More than 100 residents of the Darby House senior community in Eastern Henrico were displaced by a July 4 fire, and the American Red Cross is coordinating the response to help them.
In the meantime, while residents are in temporary housing, many are without the assistive devices that they use on a daily basis.
The Neighborhood Resource Center of Greater Fulton is attempting to help and is seeking donations of:
• 6 canes;
• 5 walkers;
• 3 wheelchairs;
• 1 portable toilet.
