Westwood Club wins 2026 Thalhimer Club Challenge
Westwood Club won the 33rd annual Thalhimer Club Challenge, edging two-time defending champion Country Club of Virginia by one-half point.
The Sept. 17-20 tournament at Westwood Club and Salisbury Country Club included 396 doubles matches among 12 participating clubs. Organizers reported that more than 500 people attended the kickoff event and nearly 1,000 players were listed on tournament rosters.
The Country Club of Virginia finished second and Hermitage Country Club placed third. The event is the Richmond Tennis Association’s largest annual fundraiser and supports junior tennis programs in the Richmond region.
