The Bart Chucker Band will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10 at the Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs. Blending Americana and alt-country, the band breathes fresh life into classics from Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker and Johnny Cash, while putting their own country spin on legends like Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison and the Rolling Stones. To close out The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen's Gumenick Gallery exhibition Collective Concerns: Collage and Assemblage, the traveling exhibit's curator, Reni Gower, will give an artist talk at CACGA on Saturday, July 11 from noon to 2 p.m. Known for her curation of thought-provoking traveling exhibitions, Gower will examine the role of the artist as a curator and explain how she brings exhibitions to life. Henrico Recreation and Parks will present Real to Reel: 1776 at the Henrico Theatre on Saturday, July 11 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Experience the drama surrounding the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence with the musical 1776. Historian Maureen Santelli will reveal what this Tony Award-winning movie got right and what came from the pens of the stage writers. Admission is free and no registration is required. Twisted Carrot Farm will host a Local Collaborative Market on Sunday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lakeside Farmer's Market, 6110 Lakeside Avenue. The "Walking on Sunshine Market" is 80s themed. In addition to items crafted by local makers, there will be music, a food truck and a craft workshop for all ages.
