Virginia family therapy conference in Glen Allen to examine life 'Beyond the Screen'
The Virginia Association for Marriage and Family Therapy will hold its 2026 annual conference Nov. 6-7 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Road.
Called “Beyond the Screen: Thriving Together in a Digital World,” the two-day conference will examine how technology and digital culture affect relationships, mental health, families and communities. Topics are expected to include social media and mental health, parent-child relationships, artificial intelligence, gaming, sleep, digital boundaries and technology in clinical practice.
Marriage and family therapist Stacy Jagger, known professionally as “Dr. Sassy,” is scheduled to deliver the keynote address. A portion of the conference will be open to parents and other members of the community as well as mental-health professionals.
The association also is accepting proposals for research poster presentations. Registration starts at $50.
