This Henrico organization wants you to find one of the 1,500 books it's hiding Sept. 17
The Junior League of Richmond will hide more than 1,500 books throughout the Richmond region Thursday, Sept. 17 as part of a community-wide scavenger hunt celebrating Find the Good Day.
Books for children, young adults and adults will be placed at locations throughout the region, and participants may use an online scavenger hunt map to find them and take them home. The event is designed to promote literacy and a love of reading.
Find the Good Day highlights individuals, organizations and volunteers making a positive impact in their communities and encourages others to volunteer or perform acts of service and kindness.
The scavenger hunt also supports literacy, one of five priority areas in the Junior League's "Women Building Better Communities" initiative. The other areas are health and wellness, supporting families, active kids and housing.
