Sheetz to open new Henrico location April 16
Restaurant and convenience store chain Sheetz will officially open its fifth Henrico store (at 7520 Staples Mill Road) Thursday, April 16.
To celebrate this new location, Sheetz will host a special event beginning at 9 a.m. outside the store, where it will be joined by hundreds of residents, representatives from local nonprofits and elected officials. During the celebration, Sheetz will offer giveaways to attendees, including $250 in Sheetz gift cards and "Free Sheetz for a Year," a $2,500 value.
The location will open to the public at 8 a.m., but the official ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Customers will be invited to have free self-serve coffee and soda all day April 16.
Sheetz officials will present a $2,500 donation to Feed More, a nonprofit that distributes more than 734,000 pounds of food per week to neighbors in need throughout Central Virginia. Customers attending the grand opening celebration are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to the nonprofit, as well, and those who do so will receive “Sheetz Swag,” with a limit of one per customer (while supplies last) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Sheetz also will present a $2,500 check to the Special Olympics of Virginia.
The new location will feature dining options, drive-throughs, indoor and outdoor seating, groceries, touch-free restrooms, and free Wi-Fi and air pumps.
The location will employ approximately 30 people, company officials said.
Sheetz operates more than 830 locations throughout Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24/7, 365 days a year.
