Highland Springs Elementary School, 600 Pleasant Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dead roaches in pest traps; there are food stains on ceiling as well as dust around ceiling ventilation.

Roberto Italian Restaurant, 5550 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw chicken incorrectly stored with cooked pasta and over ground beef and onions in walk-in; raw chicken incorrectly stored over cooked potatoes and salmon in lowboy; temperatures of gravy, garlic and oil, cheese and lasagna in reach-in are elevated; temperature of pasta is elevated because of improper cooling methods (in large pan that is tightly covered); raw salmon improperly thawing in reduced oxygen packaging; employee cutting onions and prepping items is wearing bracelets; to-go containers on cook line are not stored inverted to prevent contamination.
Captain D’s Seafood, 7607 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: manager’s certified food protection manager certificate expired last month; an employee is working in the food service area without proper hair restraint for his beard; gasket on walk-in cooler door is torn; back door frame and walk-in cooler walls and floor are in disrepair (heavily rusted and falling apart); several floor tiles are broken; there are missing wall tiles and a hole in the wall under make table and prep sink.
Seven Pines Elementary School, 301 Beulah Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide test strips for chemical sanitizer.

Glen Lea Elementary School, 3909 Austin Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed multiple flies in the kitchen; lids and doors were left open on outside dumpsters; observed food debris/buildup on floor under hot line; there are stains on lower walls in the dish room and light food stains on wall near prep sink; drain under three-compartment sink is dirty.
Fair Oaks Elementary School, 201 Jennings Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed mold/dust on wire racks in walk-in cooler.
Arthur Ashe Elementary School, 1001 Cedar Fork Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: wire racks in reach-in cooler are rusty; there is a small leak in plumbing under three-compartment sink (far right); observed food stains on front walls of hot line.

Ratcliffe Elementary School, 2901 Thalen Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dish room hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; observed mold inside ice machine and in prep sink floor drain; ceiling tiles near vent in center of kitchen are dusty.

Little Szechuan Restaurant, 10234 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed buildup of pink residue inside ice machine; observed improper cooling methods used for chicken and noodles in walk-in cooler and freezer (in deep covered bowls); prep cutting board is heavily scratched and stained; several fryer baskets have bent and broken metal wires; observed buildup of food debris and grease on surfaces of wok, soda and spice carts, wire racks, fryers and fan system in walk-in cooler; ceiling panels are heavily stained; lid to grease trap has a hole and is missing a bolt; observed buildup of food debris and grime on walk-in cooler floor, under wok, inside floor drain under wok and under three-compartment sink; ceiling panels and vents above prep table are dusty.
