Zoe Gallagher of Henrico was named to the spring 2026 president’s list at Youngstown State University in Ohio. To qualify for this honor, students taking at least 12 credit hours must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.


Emerson Tierney of Henrico was named to the spring 2026 president’s list at Mississippi State University. To be eligible for this honor, students taking at least 12 credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.


Natalie Thomas of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Mississippi State University. To be eligible for this honor, students taking at least 12 credit hours must earn a grade point average of 3.5-3.79 for the semester.


Raina Beaugris of Henrico and Jalen Pierce of Glen Allen were named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Wilson College in Pennsylvania. To qualify for this honor, students taking at least 12 credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.


Andrew Hall of Henrico was named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Tufts University in Massachusetts. To qualify for this honor, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher. Hall is a member of the Class of 2029.


Michael Jimenez of Henrico was named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Kettering University in Michigan. To be eligible for this honor, students taking at least 16 credit hours must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Jimenez is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.


Kelly Michaud of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2026 dean’s honor list at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Michaud is pursuing a degree in the School of Human Ecology.


The following local students were named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Furman University in South Carolina: Gabriel Joseph Cox, of Glen Allen; and Anne Larkin Little, Mary Christine Helms and Addison James Michael Wood, of Henrico. To qualify for this honor, full-time students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.


The following student-athletes at Shenandoah University in Virginia were named to the 2025-26 Old Dominion Athletic Conference's All-Academic list: William McClintock, Caden Sherman, Darryl Lee and Braxton Snead, of Glen Allen; and Xavier Thompson and Lillian Berger, of Henrico. To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher during the academic year.


Mark Smith of Henrico recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University.


Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger recently announced the following appointments to her administration: Council on Women – Angela Elazier of Glen Allen, social worker with Henrico County Public Schools; and Student Advisory Board – Vanesh Goel, student at J.R. Tucker High School in Henrico.
