Michael Biliunas of Glen Allen recently was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society recognizing the top students at accredited business schools. To be eligible for membership, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the top seven percent of the junior class, top 10 percent of the senior class, or top 20 percent of the graduating MBA class. The honor is reserved for students who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement and leadership and who exemplify Beta Gamma Sigma's values of honor, wisdom, and earnestness. Biliunas is a student at La Salle University in Pennsylvania.


Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, recently inducted the following local students at Virginia Commonwealth University: Amanda Malcolm, Angela Lindsay, Dalia Al Saeedy, David Glass, Ehsan Kaffash, Elizabeth Hasley, Erica Edler, Hannah Flippen Clark, Inayah O’Neil, Jacqueline Baird, Jared Grigg, Jocelyn Espinoza, Jonathan Glass, Katie Bushing, Mindy Priddy, Natalie Luffman, Nicholas Dunn, Samuel Paul Gyamfi, Sarah Hampton, Sera Erickson and Thomas Garner, of Henrico; and Jennifer Collins, Cydny Neville, Elizabeth Zehmer, Elizabeth Taylor, Kaylee Traylor and Shannon McMillan, of Glen Allen. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.


Coco Sammons of Glen Allen and Kylie Semo of Henrico were named to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Emerson College in Massachusetts. To qualify for this honor, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher.


Daniel Murphy of Henrico was named to the fall 2025 dean’s list with distinction at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.60 to 3.84 for the semester. Murphy is a freshman Computer Science major.


Autumn Just of Glen Allen was named to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Bridgewater College in Virginia. To earn this honor, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher. Just is majoring in Biology.
