Henrico Police to host 'Stuff the Backpack' giveaway event Aug. 22

The Henrico County Police Division will host a free “Stuff the Backpack” event Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Henrico County Training Center, 7701 East Parham Road.

Henrico students can receive a backpack and fill it with school supplies for the upcoming school year. Free haircuts also will be available from barbers on site, and students will have an opportunity to meet local police officers.

Certified child safety seat technicians also will be available to inspect children’s car seats during the event.

The event is free and open to Henrico County students on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
