The Virginia Outdoor Sportsman Show will take place at the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 East Laburnum Avenue, on July 31 from noon to 6 p.m., Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is Virginia's largest sportsman show and is home of the annual VPSA Big Game Contest. The event features seminars, demonstrations, attractions and exhibitors. General admission is $12 or purchase a three-day pass for $25. A one-day family pack of four is $40. CharacterWorks' high school Masters Camp students will present Footloose at Steward School, 11600 Gayton Road, on July 31 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The show includes dynamic new songs augmenting the powerhouse hits from its bestselling Oscar-nominated score. Comedian Michael Blackson will perform at the Richmond Funny Bone at the Short Pump Town Center on July 31 at 7:30 p.m. and on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Inspired by the stand-up comedy of Eddie Murphy, Blackson began performing in comedy clubs in 1992. He got his big break while performing in LA at a show where actor/director Ice Cube was in attendance. This meeting led to Blackson's appearance in the hit film Next Friday. Twisted Carrot Farm will host a Friday Night Collaborative Market from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 31 inside the Lakeside Farmers' Market at 6110 Lakeside Avenue. This community-focused event features more than 50 local makers, food and drinks, a craft workshop and music. The event is family-friendly, free to attend and open to all. No pets are allowed. The Fit-X Experience Tour will present Victory Lap at Richmond Raceway on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This fitness party features a DJ-driven workout with Ish "The Black Superman" Sandiford and other trainers in a high-energy, welcoming atmosphere.
