Richmond Area Bot Instigated Destruction (RABID) will host its Fall Brawl robot combat event Saturday, Nov. 7, at Regency, 1420 North Parham Road in Henrico. The all-ages event will run from 11 a.m. to about 6 p.m. on the mall's lower level outside the Adult Education Center.

Local builders will compete with robots ranging from 150 grams to three pounds. The event will debut RABID's new 8-by-8-foot, double-layered polycarbonate arena for antweight and beetleweight matches; fairyweight robots will compete in a smaller arena. The greatest concentration of back-to-back matches is expected early in the day so organizers encourage spectators to arrive early.

Admission is free; no tickets are needed. Additional details and participant registration are available at robotcombatevents.com/events/9728.
