Veterans Day ceremony planned Nov. 7 at Taylor Farm Park

VFW Post 8529 and American Legion Post 242 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Taylor Farm Park in Sandston, followed by an afternoon of live music.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the park, located at 200 Whiteside Road, next to the Chickahominy YMCA.

Following the ceremony, the band Liberty or Death will perform from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The gathering is intended to bring community members together to honor and remember those who have served in the U.S. military in advance of Veterans Day, which is observed annually on Nov. 11.
