Police ID man killed at Far West End apartment complex, take suspect into custody
A suspect is in custody after a man was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex in Henrico's Far West End early Sunday morning, police said.
Officers were called to the 00 block of Craighill Road around 3 a.m. for a report of a shooting, according to Henrico Police. That address is at the sprawling Hunters Ridge Apartments in Tuckahoe.
When police arrived, they found 21-year-old Jesus Ugalde, of Henrico, in the parking lot with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twenty-two-year-old David Chavez Penaloza, of Henrico, was taken into custody.
