May 6 is the last day to register online for the 2026 Genworth | CareScout Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy, a bike ride between Richmond and Williamsburg that will take place May 8 and 9.

Online registration closes at 11:59 Wednesday, but walk-up registration will remain available at all packet pickup locations during specified hours, although t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after March 10 and sizes may be limited.

The event is an annual fundraiser for the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation that also is designed to celebrate cycling and community.

The ride features four distance options: Century (100 miles), Half Century (50 miles), Quarter Century (25 miles), and 7-mile Family Fun Ride. Riders also can also opt for a 2-Day Challenge and spend the whole weekend with others on the trail.

For those who can't attend the ride in person, a virtual option allows participants to ride any day during the month of May.

The event has an Open-Start format, meaning participants can start and finish whenever and wherever they want to ride along the Virginia Capital Trail. Those who aren't sure where to start can check out suggested routes here.

Enjoy the party zones at Chickahominy Riverfront Park on May 8 and at Dorey Park in Varina May 9. Riders will be supported by five rest stops over the 51.7-mile trail and will receive a Cap2Cap t-shirt and SWAG, lunch, a beverage ticket, and more.
