Motorcyclist killed in Highland Springs wreck

A 26-year-old man driving a motorcycle was killed in a crash in eastern Henrico County on Saturday night, according to authorities.

Officers were called to a wreck involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of North Airport Drive and Airport Place around 9:35 p.m., according to Henrico Police officials. That is not far from Highland Springs High School.

When police arrived, they found the motorcycle driver, Hunter Southard of Henrico, in the road with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
