Henrico to offer free life-skills workshops for adults in recovery
The Empower Henrico Task Force will offer a series of free life-skills workshops from Oct. 27 through Feb. 16 at Fairfield Area Library, 1401 North Laburnum Avenue.
The 10 sessions will cover topics including securing employment, managing personal finances, grief and emotional support, technology skills and parenting. The workshops are open to adults in recovery, and participants do not have to attend every session.
The series is supported through a $500,000 Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority grant and was developed with input from people in recovery.
