With Henrico County and Metro Richmond expecting a major snow and ice storm this weekend, local and regional officials are urging residents to take a number of precautions and make preparations.

A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Highland Springs Little League complex in memory of Justus Lee, the child killed in a crash on I-64 Jan. 18.

Henrico Schools Superintendent Amy Cashwell will introduce her recommended HCPS budget for the 2026-2027 school year at a school board meeting at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
HCPS families and community members will have the chance to comment on the recommended budget at a public hearing at 5 p.m.
