Fourteen-year-old Deep Run High School student Devina Mainra has been crowned Miss Ultimate USA Jr. Teen 2026, after winning the national title at the Miss Ultimate USA National Pageant recently in Orlando, Florida.

Mainra, a rising sophomore at Deep Run, represented the Mid-Atlantic region and competed against contestants from across the country in categories designed to highlight confidence, communication skills, personality and individuality.

The Jr. Teen competition included a private interview, Ultimate Runway and gown competitions, followed by an on-stage question for the top three finalists. Mainra advanced to the final three before earning the national crown.

Her preparation for the competition included months of interview and stage training, platform development and community service.

As Miss Ultimate USA Jr. Teen, Mainra will spend the coming year making appearances, participating in service events and promoting her anti-bullying platform, "Be Bold, Brave, and Beautifully YOU."

Mainra developed the initiative following her own experience with cyberbullying in middle school. The platform focuses on encouraging confidence, self-love and individuality while helping young people respond to bullying.

She promotes those messages through school presentations, community events, social media and her "Be Beautifully YOU" podcast, which addresses bullying, confidence and creating kinder communities.

Community service also has played a significant role in Mainra's work. She has completed more than 200 hours of service with organizations including Doorways, Our Lady of Hope, the Richmond SPCA and VCU Massey Cancer Center.

Outside of pageantry and service, Mainra is involved in music, dance, leadership and public speaking. She is a professionally trained opera singer and has studied ballroom and Bollywood dance for more than eight years.

Mainra also has an interest in advocacy and hopes eventually to become a lawyer.

Miss Ultimate USA is a national pageant organization focused on leadership, confidence, service and authenticity. Its titleholders participate in appearances, volunteer opportunities and community initiatives during their year of service.
