In recognition of its 25th anniversary, the Henrico Citizen is getting its own beer — and we need your help naming it!
We’re teaming up with Henrico-based Intermission Beer Company to create a special Henrico Citizen beer that will be sold exclusively at Intermission Beer Co., and rather than coming up with the name ourselves, we thought our readers might have some better ideas.
Name our beer!
We're inviting readers age 21 and older to submit their most creative suggestions for the name of the beer. Whether your idea is inspired by Henrico, local news, journalism, the Citizen or something completely unexpected, we want to hear it.
After submissions close, representatives of the Henrico Citizen and Intermission Beer Company will review the eligible entries and select a winning name based on creativity, originality, relevance and suitability for the beer.
🎉 A portion of proceeds from the sale of each Henrico Citizen-themed beer will be donated back to the Citizen to help support local journalism.
What the winner receives
The person who submits the winning name will receive a $100 Visa gift card — and, of course, bragging rights as the person who named the Henrico Citizen beer.
Rules and regulations
There is no purchase necessary to enter. Entrants must be 21 or older. No alcoholic beverages will be awarded as a prize. If the same or substantially similar winning name is submitted by more than one person, the first eligible submission received will be considered the winning entry.
