On April 11, Glen Allen Elementary School students and staff enjoyed a mini-reunion with former students who are now high school seniors.

The soon-to-be-graduates – who started kindergarten in 2012 and left as fifth-graders in 2019 – returned to their alma mater for a Senior Walk, coming not only from Glen Allen and Deep Run high schools, but also from specialty centers and other schools.

While rainy weather forced the event indoors, the future grads drew enthusiastic cheers from current students, teachers, parents and siblings who lined the halls to welcome them. Former teachers and staff were also invited to join the celebration as surprise guests.

The event was part of an annual tradition practiced throughout Henrico County, as seniors return to their elementary schools in their caps and gowns.
