Glen Allen man dies in single-vehicle crash in Hanover
A 61-year-old Glen Allen man died in a single-vehicle crash in Hanover County Sept. 25, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 15200 block of Ashland Road at about 10:03 p.m. for a reported crash.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman was traveling west on Ashland Road when it ran off the left side of the road and struck several trees, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver and sole occupant, identified as Robert E. Short, was pronounced dead at the scene by Hanover Fire and EMS personnel.
The circumstances that caused the vehicle to leave the road remain under investigation.
