Fire on West Broad Street disrupting Western Henrico traffic
A fire in the 8000 block of West Broad Street prompted Henrico Police to shut down all westbound lanes of traffic on the road shortly after 6 p.m., July 24 at the entrance to the Westland Shopping Center. Eastbound traffic in the area remains open but is affected.
Police estimate that traffic will be affected for at least two hours.
No injuries have been reported from the fire, and there are no threats to nearby buildings or vegetation, according to police.
The public is being asked to avoid the area of West Broad Street between Hungary Springs Road and Parham Road and to use Skipwith Road and Shrader Road instead to bypass the area.
