Obituary – Thomas Earl Allen


Thomas Earl Allen, age 78, of Highland Springs, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Flossie Ann Allen, brother’s Murriel Allen and Ellwood Allen, granddaughter Kasey Houchins and sister-in-law Eleanor E. Allen (Beth).

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nettie Ann Allen, daughter Julie Pulling (Ray), son John Ayscue (Joyce), daughter Angela Walls (Mike), granddaughter Ashley Stanley ( Ross) great grandchildren Nevaeh Johnson and Olivia Johnson, nephews Carl Allen (Nancy) and Jimmy Allen (Terry), nieces Sandra Toner (Bernard) and Janet Bunn (Cliff), great nieces Jessica McGraw (Corbin) and Amanda Lawson (Jeff), great nephews Joel Tate (Traci) and Anthony Allen (Sarah), great great nieces Eleanor Claire McGraw and Madison Lawson, sister-in-law Kathy Allen and many other family members and close friends.

He worked for Philip Morris for 33 years, joining the Army for a time and going back to Philip Morris until his retirement.

A visitation for Thomas Earl Allen will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 25, 2024, also at Woody Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 2:00pm to 2:30 pm at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Courthouse Road, Hanover, Va.
