Several Henrico County organizations are partnering with youth leaders to host "Above the Influence," an event designed to address marijuana use prevention and youth mental health May 13 in Highland Springs.
The event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Oak Avenue Complex,
Coal Pit Learning Center marked its 50th anniversary with a party and awards ceremony April 30 at the school on Francistown Road in Glen Allen.
Students kicked off the celebration with a singing performance, and speakers included alumni of the school, current parents and grandparents, Henrico County Manager John Vithoulkas
