YMCA of Greater Richmond schedules Day of Giving for Sept. 21

The YMCA of Greater Richmond will hold its annual Y Day of Giving Monday, Sept. 21, to raise money for programs serving children, families, seniors and other residents throughout the region.

The organization said donations support youth sports, child care and enrichment programs; swim lessons and water-safety instruction; wellness programs for older adults; and resources intended to help individuals and families move from crisis toward stability.

Matching opportunities will be available during the one-day campaign, allowing some gifts to have twice their usual impact, according to the YMCA.
