American Legion Varina Post 233 will host the Varina Strong Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road in Varina. The event, presented in collaboration with the Dorey Park Farmers Market and Henrico Recreation and Parks, will feature a car, truck and bike show as well as Scout demonstrations, line dancing, face painting, food, music, games, vendors, giveaways and safety demonstrations. The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, in collaboration with RVA Collective, will host Collective—A Creative Market at Glen Allen on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This curated creative market features artists, makers and small businesses based in Central Virginia. Changes in Latitude—America's Premier Jimmy Buffett Tribute will perform at After Hours Concerts at The Innsbrook Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. Devoted to the Mayor of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffet, Changes in Latitude brings their dancing conga lines and "Trop Rock" fun to venues across the country. The group travels with a complete tropical stage set-up that exactly mimics Buffet's from years past. Attendees will hear many of his classics, such as “Margaritaville,” “Come Monday,” “Cheeseburger In Paradise," and the Alan Jackson/Jimmy Buffett hit, “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere.” Tickets start at $27.60. Friendship Circle of Virginia, Jacob's Chance and Sportable will host RVA Adaptive Athletics Day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30 at the Henrico Sports and Events Center, 1 All Star Boulevard in Glen Allen. The event is designed for individuals of all abilities ages 5 to 40. Participants will be paired one-to-one with volunteers who will provide encouragement, support and companionship throughout the day. Experience a variety of adaptive sports, including basketball, soccer, seated volleyball and martial arts. Actor and comedian Marlon Wayans will visit Mona Lounge & Cigar Bar, 2442 Old Brick Road, for an exclusive Liga Tridente Cut & Light on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. Presented in partnership with House of Luck, the event features premium cigars, food, drinks, conversation and an intimate atmosphere.
