After Hours Concerts at The Innsbrook Pavilion will present two concerts this weekend: The Concert–A Tribute to ABBA on Friday, Aug. 7 and Hanson on Saturday, Aug. 8. ATC The Concert will perform some of ABBA's most iconic hits, including "Mamma Mia," "S.O.S.," "Waterloo," "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" and "Dancing Queen." Touring the U.S. since 1999, the 100% authentic Swedish group features original ABBA musicians. Hanson, consisting of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac, are best known for their 1997 smash single "MMMBop" from their debut album, Middle of Nowhere. A long line of hits, five more studio albums, multiple Grammy nominations and over 16 million album sales followed. Belmont Recreation Center, 1600 Hilliard Road, will host Screen on the Green at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7. The outdoor movie shown will be The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005, PG, 120 minutes). The first 75 guests will receive a free small bucket of golf balls to hit during the event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Admission is free. Dorey Park Farmers Market will host a Family Fun Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 8. Juggler and magician Jonathan Austin will perform at 10 a.m. under the pavilion. There will also be face painting and fairy hair, family games and representatives from Henrico Library, as well as community yoga and a cooking demonstration. The farmers market will have fresh produce, baked treats, handmade goods and more for sale. Admission is free. Dorey Park is located at 2999 Darbytown Road. Heartfulness Meditation Center, 2230 East Parham Road, will host its annual wellness festival HeartFest on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. HeartFest brings together wellness practitioners, teachers, performers, families and neighbors for a full day of indoor and outdoor experiences designed to help attendees relax, recharge and reconnect. Activities will include meditation, breathwork and mindfulness sessions, a performance by River City Taiko, yoga, Pilates, BollyX, Zumba, wellness booths, speakers, local vendors, kids' activities, food trucks and more. The Forget Me Knot Choir, a community choir open to anyone experiencing neurocognitive disease that causes brain change and their caregivers, will perform their very first concert on Sunday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Road. Experience the power of music through songs of friendship and summer memories and a Motown medley. The program is presented by CACGA in partnership with VCU Health, VCU Music Program, Forget Me Knot Café, and VCU Gerontology. Tickets are $5. Click here for details.
