The Richmond Anime-Fest will be held on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton Richmond Airport hotel, 4700 South Laburnum Avenue. The festival is a celebration of Japanese animation, manga, cosplay and more. Together with fellow fans, enjoy panels and workshops, vendors, artists and more. The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation is partnering with Keep Henrico Beautiful to host a free Bike Maintenance 101 workshop on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Four Mile Creek Trailhead, 3256 New Market Road in Varina. This entry-level class will teach cyclists the basics of bicycle upkeep and repair, covering such topics as fixing a flat, pumping air into tires, changing inner tubes, and more. The Indian Sri Lankan Food Festival will take place Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at TPC Church, 10509 Greenwood Road in Glen Allen. There will be a wide variety of freshly made South Asian dishes available for purchase, including biryani, dosa, kottu roti, curries, snacks, desserts, drinks, and more. Celebrate Memorial Day with a parade through Sandston on Monday, May 25. The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Williamsburg Road where it intersects with Beulah Road. The parade will proceed west and disband at North Confederate Avenue. A block party will follow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sandston Recreation Area, 11 JB Finley Road.
