The Richmond Home + Garden Show will take place March 6-8 at the Richmond Raceway Complex. The show will feature more than 250 home and garden experts and exhibitors. In addition, there will be appearances by Chris Lambton, known for his outdoor living and gardening expertise and hosting HGTV shows like Yard Crashers and Going Yard, and interior designer and Laid-Back Luxe author Tamara Day from Magnolia Network’s Bargain Mansions! Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 to $9 for adults age 13 and older and free for children. Seniors 60+ are admitted free on Friday only. Curtain Call's Spring Consignment Sale will be held March 6-8 in the former JC Penney's location at Regency Mall, 1420 North Parham Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Items for sale include window treatments, furniture, rugs, lamps, mirrors, pictures, floral arrangements, bedding, silver, china, designer handbags, fur coats, high-end holiday decor (no Christmas), antiques and more. The Henrico Theatre Company will present Twelve Angry Jurors, a drama adapted by Sherman L. Sergel and based on the Emmy Award-winning television movie Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose, at 7 p.m. March 6-7 and at 3 p.m. March 8. A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case – until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and jurors become 12 angry people. Tickets are $10. The show concludes next weekend. Click here for details.
The Richmond Family Magazine Summer Camp & Activities Expo will take place at the Dewey Gottwald Center on Saturday, March 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visit with and gather information from dozens of area day camps, sleepaway camps, and other area family activities and resources. The Central Virginia chapter of Sisters in Crime will present its "Mysterypalooza" author panel at Libbie Mill Library on Saturday, March 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Meet several contributing authors of the Crime in the Old Dominion mystery anthology. They will discuss their paths to publication: traditional, hybrid, indie, and short story publishing experience. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
