Virginia workforce training program earns top national ranking
Virginia’s workforce training program has been ranked first in the nation in Area Development’s 2026 Top States for Doing Business report, according to the governor’s office.
The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program provides customized recruiting and training services for qualifying new and expanding companies. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership operates the program with the Virginia Community College System.
Virginia ranked eighth overall in the publication’s report and also placed fifth for its innovation and research ecosystem, sixth for site readiness programs and seventh for logistics and transportation infrastructure.
The Talent Accelerator has supported more than 22,000 announced jobs since 2019, state officials said. Program details are available from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.
