JULY 1

Panera Bread, 10301 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of scrambled eggs in warmer is too low; two employees are wearing watches while preparing food; three bins of plastic silverware are stored unprotected; grout is worn throughout the kitchen.


JULY 2

The Boathouse at Short Pump, 11800 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: shell stock tags are not being kept in chronological order of the last sold-by date; wire racks in walk-in cooler are peeling and rusty; three out of six fryer baskets on cookline have broken off metal pieces; gasket liner is torn on right-side door of right-side lowboy underneath raw oyster bar; long cutting boards on prep units are stained and scored; walk-in cooler vents are covered in dust; wire racks in dry storage area are covered in old flour and food debris.

Boil Bay Cajun Seafood & Bar, 8161 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink next to ice machine doesn’t have hand soap; did not observe last dates of sale recorded on shell stock tags; raw shell eggs are stored above celery in right prep unit cooler; employee is washing dishes but not sanitizing them at three-compartment sink; chlorine sanitizer concentration at dish machine is too low because the sanitizer had run out; dried food debris found in microwave and on can opener blade, exterior of bulk bins and interior of some bulk bins; there is dried drink debris on both nozzles at the bar; black grime spots found on ice machine plate; observed parcooked unbreaded and breaded chicken wings on counter from frozen raw chicken that had been parcooked 1.5 hours prior (there are no parcooking written procedures on file); raw shell eggs are sitting out on counter by grill at room temperature; temperature of raw shrimp containers in right prep unit is elevated because they are stacked too high; several foods cooked today are improperly cooling with large amounts of plastic wrap (portioned cups of sausage, boiled potatoes, crab legs defrosted and cleaned, and parcooked chicken wings); bulk bins of spices, sugar and flours are unlabeled; rice scoops are stored in ambient temperature water; there are torn gaskets on reach-in freezer in front of cookline and on walk-in cooler; racks in walk-in cooler are rusted; right drink machine in kitchen is missing its back metal plate; fryer basket has torn metal; lid of bulk sugar container is broken; facility doesn’t have quat sanitizer test strips; food debris and grime found on gaskets of cooling units; there is dust on top of shelves on cookline and on top of ice machine; observed dried drink spills on racks and floor of beer walk-in cooler; there is food debris on floors under racks in walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer; dumpster doors were left open; there is garbage under stationary equipment at the bar; observed grime and garbage in floor drain under three-compartment sink at the bar; back hand sink seal is in disrepair and separating from the wall.

Sun Top’s China, 5560 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of chicken wings and lo mein noodles are elevated because they are sitting out on the counter; lo mein noodles and chicken nuggets cooked yesterday are not date marked; rice scoops are stored in room temperature water; there are torn gaskets on chest freezer and reach-in cooler.

Arby’s, 11298 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed infestation of small flies in drains under beverage station and throughout kitchen; prep unit cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained brown; full sheet pans are heavily pitted; dried food debris buildup found on surfaces of racks in walk-in cooler and dry storage, microwave handles and inside prep unit; observed dried food debris and grime on walk-in cooler floor and under cooking equipment.


JULY 7

Eat 33, 6901 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide employee health policies for food staff or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; temperature of gravy in steam well is too low; several bottles of hand sanitizer are stored on lid of ice machine; cardboard is being used to line shelves inside walk-in cooler; there is dust buildup on AC unit; observed dried food inside steam wells, on floors under shelves and equipment, and on wire racks.

Garden Café at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 1800 Lakeside Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dried food debris found in microwave; observed grey and pink spotting on ice machine plate; temperatures of tofu in prep cooler and cut melon, turkey sandwich and pico de gallo in reach-in cooler are elevated; temperature of unsalted whipped butter is elevated because it was left out on the counter; black beans, marinara and elote containers are past their expiration dates; sauteed mushrooms made yesterday are not date marked; observed small flies in kitchen; two cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; main kitchen’s front reach-in cooler is leaking and pooling water inside; small, top reach-in cooler at front kitchen has elevated temperatures; dried food debris found on racks in dry storage, grill in main kitchen, fryer/conveyor oven in front kitchen and on walk-in cooler gasket; there is gray mildew-like spotting on drink machine metal plate in public area; there is dried food debris in the drawer holding drink nozzles at server tea/coffee station; vent is dusty on ice machine in main kitchen; y-connector at mop sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; observed grime and food debris on floors under cooking/cooling equipment, racks and sinks throughout, and on floor drain under three-compartment sink; ceiling vents and tiles are dusty.

Minilandia Ice Cream & Candy, 4062 Crockett Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: chlorine sanitizer concentration in spray bottle used for food contact surfaces is too high.

Domino’s Pizza, 11442 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: spray bottle of sanitizer is unlabeled; bulk bin containing a powdery ingredient is unlabeled; unisex employee restroom doesn’t have a covered trash can; ceiling vents above cookline are covered in a thin layer of dust.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 5300 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of chicken reheated from yesterday’s service in steam table is too low; there is a leak at prep sink faucet.

Starbucks Coffee Company, 11332 Nuckols Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there are no paper towels at drive-thru hand sink; hand soap dispenser is broken at drive-thru hand sink; observed grime buildup on drying racks.

Atlas 42, 4032-A Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is 0 ppm quat sanitizer coming from three-compartment sink dispenser; two containers of garlic butter are past their expiration dates; container storing a dry ingredient is unlabeled; wire racks in walk-in cooler #1 are peeling and rusty.
