New Hunan Gourmet, 3107 Mechanicsville Turnpike – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dishes found in kitchen hand sink; raw chicken stored over seafood and raw shrimp stored over produce in walk-in cooler; bulk bins of sugar, flour and rice and containers of powdery white substances on hot line are unlabeled; front door to the restaurant was left wide open with no screen door and flies are throughout the establishment; food is stored directly on walk-in cooler floor; bag of onions stored directly on kitchen floor; walk-in cooler thermostat isn’t working; reach-in cooler door gaskets and shelf under hot well table are dirty; observed food stains on walls next to, underneath and behind three-compartment sink; floors under hot line and deep fryers are dirty.
Regal Cinemas—Virginia Center, 10091 Jeb Stuart Parkway – No violations reported during a routine inspection.
Yoshi Sushi, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee washed hands at dump sink instead of hand sink; employee failed to wash hands after eating and before continuing food prep; server put bare hands over ginger dressing bottle opening to shake it; employee rinsed hands in bucket of water after handling tempura batter; hand sink in prep area is blocked by large bags of rice; raw shrimp stored over onions in walk-in cooler; employees are using same tongs to handle raw chicken and beef on cook line; containers of tempura flakes stored on shelf are uncovered; employee washed rice warmer but failed to sanitize it; observed pink and black residue inside ice machine; temperature of container of raw egg on wok station is elevated; sushi rolls prepped the previous day in the prep unit are not date marked; time isn’t being tracked for sushi rice; chlorine sanitizer level in bucket is too high; several cleaning spray bottles are unlabeled; containers of tofu and raw tuna are tightly covered during the cooling process; clams and fish are being improperly thawed at three-compartment sink; menu states “crabstick” but imitation crab is being served; menu states white tuna is in sushi rolls but escolar is being served; containers of spices, sauce bottles and bulk dry ingredients are unlabeled; observed small flies around floor drain under three-compartment sink; towels are in contact with edamame and carrots in prep units; wet wiping cloths are stored on cutting board instead of a sanitizing bucket; in-use knives are stored in dirty crevice between prep unit and table; rice scoops are stored in ambient temperature water; single-use cups are being used as scoops in dry ingredient bins; metal wires on fryer baskets are bent and broken; knife handle is taped together; gasket is torn and taped together on reach-in cooler; observed torn wrapping on table in prep area; sushi and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained black; observed buildup of grime and food debris on storage racks, walk-in cooler floor and fan grates, dry storage shelves, kitchen floor, and floor drain under three-compartment sinks; there is grease buildup on heat lamps and pipes behind cook line; ceiling panels are stained black.

Chick-fil-A, 4443 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed presence of small flies around floor drain in back storage room; white cutting board has heavy discoloration and scratches.
Dunkin Donuts, 7721 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: mold found inside top portion of ice machine; milk system cleaner is stored next to coffee syrups on counter; quat sanitizer level in bins for wiping clothes is too low.
Shawarma Bistro, 12422 Gayton Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee touched eyeglasses with gloved finger and didn’t change gloves and wash hands; sanitizer concentration in three-compartment sink basin is too low; observed small flies throughout kitchen; single-service items and clean plates are stored on a dusty/dirty prep surface; prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; cardboard is lining shelves in back prep area; observed dust and food debris buildup on fryers, sides of prep units, wire storage racks in walk-in cooler, portable fans, dish dry rack and under grills; observed food and grease buildup on floors under equipment; ceiling vents are dusty; there are food splatters on walls.
Starbucks Coffee Company, 8137 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: both bathrooms don’t have handwash signgage posted; quat sanitizer concentration in bins and bucket is too low; plastic containers are stacked while still wet at three-compartment sink; there is grime buildup on walk-in cooler racks; fan guard in walk-in cooler is dusty; there is buildup on floors under units and counters on line.

Muse Paintbar, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: ice cube trays found in hand sink; quat sanitizer concentration in three-compartment sink is too low; opened package of shred mozzarella and hummus have no date marks; two bottles in kitchen and one bottle in chemical room are unlabeled; a white powder in spice container is unlabeled; racks above ovens are dusty; pipe in wall in bathroom is leaking; unisex bathrooms don’t have a covered trash can.
Starbucks Coffee Company, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of whipped cream canister is elevated because it was left on the counter; several flies observed near display case; quat sanitizer concentration in sanibuckets is too low; ice bucket isn’t stored inverted; syrup rack is dusty; observed a leak from the dish machine; mop isn’t hung to air dry; ceiling at ladder is broken; floors in back area need cleaning; walls throughout line have pocketing tiles.
Chen’s Chinese Restaurant, 11361 Nuckols Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee is cutting tofu with bare hands; container of raw chicken is stored above raw shrimp in walk-in; food residue buildup found on can opener blade; paint bucket and paintbrushes are stored on shelf next to clean dishes and sugar; raw shrimp is thawing in three-compartment sink with standing water; food is stored directly on walk-in freezer and walk-in refrigerator floors; rice scoop is stored in ambient temperature standing water; observed heavy grease buildup on side of fryer; observed buildup of grease and food residue on pipes at cook line; hood filters are heavy and dripping grease and one of the filters is damaged, leaving an open space between filters.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, 11321-A Nuckols Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: sliced tomatoes are stacked high on back cold line; temperature of ham in deli case is elevated; quat sanitizer concentration is sanibuckets is too low; mop sink doesn’t have a dual check valve installed.

Cheesecake Factory, 11800 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink on cook line doesn’t have hand soap; raw and cooked chicken are stored in the same refrigeration drawer; both ice machines in the kitchen are dirty; there is no sanitizer at three-compartment sink in kitchen and diswasher in bar; dishwasher didn’t reach the required temperature on first attempt but was successful on second attempt; temperatures of dumplings, marinara, taquitos, shredded cheese, half and half, pizza dough and creamer on cook line and in several refrigeration units are elevated; cream, breading and sauces are on a time control policy but the time isn’t being tracked; observed small flies in back dry storage room; take-out containers are stored on a dirty shelf; long cutting board on prep line is chipped; small cutting boards in kitchen are scratched; fryer baskets are in disrepair; gaskets on several refrigeration units throughout the kitchen are torn; make tables on cook line are not holding temperature; third reach-in unit has a leak; there is ice buildup on fourth reach-in unit; second reach-in unit is dirty; handwash sink in kitchen is only running extremely hot water; there is a leak under the three-compartment sink in the bar; trash can in women’s bathroom doesn’t have a cover; dumpsters outside don’t have tight-fitting lids; there are broken tiles around dishwasher area; missing grout in dry storage room is causing standing water; there is a hole in the wall in the mop area.
Jing Sushi, 7019-G Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw fish and chicken are stored over cream cheese and vegetables; observed black mold inside ice machine; no date marks found on spicy tuna or raw fish; cooler door gaskets throughout kitchen are dirty/stained black; walk-in freezer door is moldy; observed grease residue on sides of hot line cooking equipment; one light is out in the kitchen; floor underneath deep fryers is greasy.
Pop’s Dogs & Ma’s Burgers, 7301 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide food protection manager certificate; facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; raw ground beef and shelled eggs are stored over deli meat and ready-to-eat hotdogs in reach-in prep unit; temperature of pork BBQ in hot holding unit is too low; can of Hot Shot fly spray found under three-compartment sink; take-out boats are stored uninverted; gasket is torn on mini fridge under bar and the interior is moldy; interior of reach-in freezer is cracked; long cutting board on prep unit is stained and scratched; ingredient shelf above stove is dirty.
Empanadas Market, 1110 Westbriar Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in dishwash area is blocked by wire storage rack; temperatures of chimichurri and spicy tomato sauces in front cooler are elevated; temperature of beef/onion mix in prep unit is elevated; there is heavy ice buildup inside small chest freezer; walk-in cooler floor is heavily rusted and damaged; observed grease and food residue on wire storage racks and fan grate in cooler; floor around water heater is damaged.
