Paving work to close these ramps on I-64, I-295 in Henrico in August

The Virginia Department of Transportation will close several ramps at the Interstate 64 and Interstate 295 interchange in Eastern Henrico County next week for paving work.

The ramp from southbound I-295 to eastbound I-64 will be closed nightly Aug. 17 and 18 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Drivers will be detoured south on I-295 to Route 60, then back onto northbound I-295 to reach I-64 east.

On Aug. 19 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., the ramp from eastbound I-64 to southbound I-295 will close. Motorists will be directed east to Exit 205 at Route 33 (Bottoms Bridge Road), then back to westbound I-64 to reach southbound I-295.

The ramp from southbound I-295 to westbound I-64 also is scheduled to close Aug. 20. Motorists should follow the posted detour, which will direct them to Exit 28B for westbound I-64, continue past the closed ramp to the next ramp for eastbound I-64 take the next right ramp for northbound I-295 to the following ramp for westbound I-64. 

Motorists should follow posted detours or use alternate routes during the work.
