Robert Lee Rhea, Jr., of Henrico, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 95. He was born on August 25, 1931, in Franklin, Virginia, to Sergeant Robert Lee Rhea, Sr. and Jessie Priscilla Baker Rhea, who preceded him in death. Robert was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Bettie Sue Umphlette Rhea, to whom he was married for 62 wonderful years.

Robert is remembered with honor, and his life will be held in lasting regard by all who knew him. During his lifetime he served our country for 20 years as a member of the United States Army's National Guard. “Bob” was a truly engaging person, with natural skills that lead to a successful career in sales. He never met a stranger, and was liked by anyone who came in contact with him.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Bonnie Rhea Adams, and his son-in-law, Jeffery Adams. Throughout his life, Robert was supportive of Bonnie’s education and career, as well as her many equestrian activities, always there to help with all that entailed and take pride in her accomplishments.

Woody Funeral Home - Parham Chapel is handling arrangements. A private graveside service will be held at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of any flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to your favorite charity.
