Richard Joseph Keller, 59, of Glen Allen, VA passed away on July 21, 2026. Richard was born on November 2, 1966 in Mount Kisco, NY to his loving parents Joseph Cornelius Keller and Patty-Jo (Keller) Schmitz.

Rich was raised in Mount Kisco, NY where he graduated from Fox Lane HS and belonged to St Francis of Assisi Parish. He met the love of his life there, Theresa who he married in September of 1992, and they promptly relocated to Richmond, VA for his job as a Parts Sales Coordinator where he then worked for nearly 40 years with that same company.

Rich enjoyed reading and gaming, he collected comics, was a music enthusiast, and avid gardener. As a huge sports fan, he followed Nascar racing, idolizing Dale Earnhardt and was a Yankees and Giants aficionado. He loved relaxing poolside with his family and fur babies, and savored a good slice of pizza. He was a fun-loving guy who cared for everyone and would give you the shirt off his back.

He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by his beloved family, dogs, friends, and co-workers. Rich is survived by his wife Theresa Ann (Howard) Keller, his fur babies Sandy and Booca, his mother Patty-Jo Schmitz of Seal Beach, CA, his sister Dawn Michele Mainville and her husband Daniel of Leesburg, FL as well as three brothers-in-law and their spouses, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other extended family.

Rich is preceded in death by his father Joseph Cornelius Keller and his brother Brian Charles Keller. May they rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or their local Humane Society.

A private family service will be held and a ‘celebration of life’ will be planned at a later date.
