Obituary - John Barron Pace

On May 25th, 2026, John "Barry" Barron Pace of Lakeside, Virginia embarked on his next great journey carrying with him a lifetime of cherished memories and stories. Born on May 28th, 1950, at Grace Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, Barry lived a life of laughter, adventure, music, and many friends. His quick wit, historical knowledge, and everlasting love for Elvis Presley and Superman were amongst his most eminent qualities. He traveled to Graceland and other beautiful places around the country with friends during his time here. With an uncanny resemblance to Santa Claus, Barry loved to suit up and truly bring such the character to life. One of his proudest achievements was receiving a certificate for having eaten 47 pancakes in one sitting as Barry loved a great meal and an ice-cold beer surrounded by others. He is survived by siblings Sharon Martin, Michael Pace, Brad Pace, and John Pace. Brother in-law Norman Martin, Nieces Noel Parrish and Lexie Pace, Great Nephew Drake Parrish and Great Niece Kennedy Kaydence are also of his living relatives. Grateful for the most wonderful caretakers he had ever had during his final years, he grew to be more than just any resident but a very beloved friend too. His joyous spirit never failed to bring a smile and lightheartedness to each day for those that surrounded him. Barry will forever live on in our hearts as someone whose fulfillment for life was most certainly met and whose birthday will never be forgotten. Rest in peace to our Barry, we love you!
