Obituary - Herbert Brown Dunnavant Jr.

Herbert Brown Dunnavant, Jr., 69, of Henrico, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2026.  He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Brown Dunnavant, Sr.; brother, George Elwood Dunnavant; and half-sister, Marlene Ann Rice-Smith.  Herbert is survived by his daughter, Teresa Ann Dunnavant; granddaughter, Chasity Renae Talley; three great grandchildren, Damien, Kayden, and Skylar; mother, June Sprouse Ferrell; sister, Jo Ann D. Rutledge; brothers, Timothy Clinton Dunnavant and Thomas Quintin Dunnavant; half-brother, John Wayne Rice; companion, Julie Powers Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Zoey and Tux.  

Graveside services will be held 1 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Washington Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hanover Animal Shelter from their online wish list at:  https://a.co/dVsTNWn.
