Obituary - Gerard William Lawrence
Gerard William Lawrence, of Richmond, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. He was born on August 9, 1964 to the late William "Larry" Lawrence and Flossie W. Lawrence.
He was a 1982 graduate of Highland Springs High School where he participated in many activities as a "Springer" Alumni. Gerard further studied at Gallaudet and Virginia Union Universities.
Gerard was employed for several years with Loyal Termite and Pest Control where he gained the love and respect of his customers and fellow employees alike.
Gerard enjoyed going to the beach, amusement parks, barbecuing and spending time with family and friends.
"Gee" as he was affectionately called by many was known to be the life of the party and a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Melvina B. Lawrence; loving mother, Flossie W. Lawrence; daughter, Tamar C. Lawrence; three grandchildren, Emory, Joshua and Daniel Loving; sister, Peggy W. Wood; two aunts, Mary T. Walker-devoted and Elsie Speight; stepdaughter, Ebony A. Walton; stepson, Brian K. Walton; forever sister-in-law, Delphine Stewart, Valerie Wright, Rose Adair; brother-in-law, Bernard Adair; devoted sister/cousin, Mone' Walker-Williams; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Interment private.
