Obituary - Deloris Taylor Crockett
Deloris Taylor Crockett, 95, of Henrico, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. Born in Sandstone, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Raymond Taylor and Elsie Clara Ward Taylor. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Crockett; daughters, Alice C. Conkle and Laura J. Crockett; brothers, Charles Taylor, Fred “Tarzan” Taylor, and John Richmond; and sisters, Annabelle Secando and Freida Davis.
She is survived by daughters, Connie LaCourse (James Sr.) and Elizabeth “Sam” Morrisette (Tom); son-in-law, Milton Conkle; grandchildren, Kathryn Jackson (Corey), Heather Conkle, Thomas Morrisette, III (Alexi), James LaCourse, Jr (Marion), and Victoria Morrisette; great-grandchildren, Haley (PJ), Matthew, Adelyn; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elias, and Maisie; and brother, Richard Taylor, (Sandra).
Deloris was employed as a registered nurse working for various companies until her retirement. She loved her Lord and Savior, visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and spending time with her family.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
