Delia C. Kidd of Henrico, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday June 20, 2026, at the age of 92, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion.

Delia lived a life centered on faith, family, and creating lasting memories. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy came from caring for her family and spending time with those she loved most. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Carneal and Dorothy Barker Carneal; her beloved husband, Willis W. Kidd; her sisters, Mary Romandetti, Florence Hohmann, Minnie Ealey, and Dorothy May Linkous; her brothers, Burton, Lee, Floyd, and Chasteen Carneal; her sisters-in-law, Nellie Hynst, Flora Brubaker, and Joyce Hall and brother-in-law McGrew Kidd.

She is survived by her son, Walter W. Kidd Sr.; daughters, Mary (John) Markey and Florence (Sanj) Banga; her grandchildren, Walter W. Kidd Jr., Rachel (David) Kibby, Jennifer (Joe) Nonnemacher, Keith (Tina) Cheatham Jr., and Katelyn Cheatham; and her great-grandchildren, Nathan Grounds, Dylan and Grayson Cheatham and Rowan and Jayce Kibby.

Delia had a passion for gardening and found great happiness tending to her flowers and beautiful yard, creating an outdoor oasis that reflected her love of beauty and nature. She also enjoyed cooking delicious meals and bringing people together. Her home was the heart of countless family gatherings, where she lovingly hosted holiday celebrations for family and friends. Christmas was especially dear to her, and she took great pride in making the season magical for everyone.

She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Delia had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and valued. Her quick wit and sharp mind let you know she was always listening.

An avid fan of country music, western movies, and professional wrestling, Delia could often be found enjoying her favorite songs or watching classic westerns. She also loved watching American Idol and enthusiastically rooting for her favorite contestants each season.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 26 at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, in Richmond, with a celebration of Delia's life to follow at 11:30 a.m. All are invited to a reception immediately following the service, with committal taking place 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
