Obituary - Charles Allen Schultz
Charles “Chuck” Allen Schultz, age 93, born June 4, 1933, in Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. A resident of Varina, Chuck will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude by all who knew him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Reava Schultz, and his son, Kenneth Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances Schultz; three sons, Duane Schultz (Cathy), Chuckie Schultz (Mille), and Danny Thompson (Alisa); his devoted sister, Joyce Dilworth (Jim); and many friends.
A Navy veteran, Chuck carried himself with the quiet steadiness of one who understood duty and commitment. He was also a loyal member of Sheet Metal Local 100 for over 60 years, a testament to a life shaped by dedication, perseverance, and pride in honest work.
Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
