Obituary - Ada Lee Carver Wilson
Ada Lee Carver Wilson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the blessed age of 94. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Brian Rucker Wilson; sisters, Eunice Carver Hurt and Joyce Carver Beninghove; brothers Alec, Earl and Keith Carver.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Brenda Lee Kraus and Ann Wilson Farmer (John); brother Donald "Butch" Carver; grandchildren, Leslie Kraus Steffensen (Brandin), Benjamin Wilson Farmer (Stephanie), and Rachel Farmer DeBose (Terry); and five great-grandchildren, Otto Steffensen, Caleb Farmer, Clayton DeBose, Jacob Farmer, Owen Farmer, and Parker DeBose.
Ada Lee Wilson was born in 1931 in Arvonia, VA to the late Abbott Franklin Carver and Annie Elsie Mann Carver. She grew up spending time with her cherished grandfather, "Daddy Mann." She graduated from Highland Springs High School, married the love of her life, had two beautiful daughters and proudly retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 1993 as a Bond Examiner.
Ada Lee was a devoted Christian and loyal member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church where she served in the choir and their senior singing group, Saints Alive. She loved to read, vacation at the beach, knit and crochet, cross stitch and craft, complete crossword puzzles, and spend time with her family and friends.
Ada Lee Wilson was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, Grandma, and "Lee Lee." She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion and will be deeply missed everyday.
We will remember her always for her kindness, her brilliance, and her love for the movie "Jaws."
The family is extremely grateful to the caring staff of Suncrest Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Nelsen Funeral Home located at 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue in Henrico followed by a graveside service at Westhampton Memorial Park located at 10000 Patterson Avenue in Richmond.
