I-64 traffic stoppages planned in eastern Henrico Oct. 5-9

Drivers on Interstate 64 in eastern Henrico should expect intermittent traffic stoppages next week while crews complete overhead utility work.

The stoppages will affect eastbound and westbound I-64 between South Airport Road (Route 156) and Meadow Road, including ramps within the work zone. Each stoppage may last up to 15 minutes.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Oct. 5-8, and from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9. Virginia State Police will assist with traffic control.
