Henrico Police seek new information about 2025 murder

Henrico Police officials are seeking new information in connection to a homicide that occurred almost one year ago.

Thirty-nine year-old Chad Michael Young of Henrico was found dead with obvious signs of trauma in the driver's seat of a vehicle in the 5000 block of Charles City Road just after midnight Feb. 4, 2025.

Information gathered during an investigation indicated that Young was sitting in the running vehicle when he was shot by an unknown person or persons. He was discovered later by his family members.

“As we approach the one-year mark of this incident, our detectives are hoping to speak with anyone who may have new information in connection to this case,” said Henrico Police spokesperson Karina Bolster. “Even the smallest detail can sometimes create new leads for our detectives to follow up on.”
