Henrico Police investigating after man's body pulled from James River
Henrico Police are in the early stages of a death investigation after a body was discovered in the James River in Varina Friday.
At about 1:14 p.m., police and Henrico Fire units responded to the 5600 block of Old Osborne Turnpike following reports of a person in the river. With assistance from Henrico Fire, police crews located and recovered the body of an adult male.
Detectives with Henrico Police’s Criminal Investigations Section will work with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to identify the person and determine the cause of death.
